The Trail Ring has also come through looking through sculptures and drawings from Pablo Picasso and Alexander Calder. Their work and the book I was looking at has had a big influence in the textures I used and the new processes I used to make it.

Set with juicy pink sapphire, citrine, peridot, emerald, diamond and amethyst baguettes.

I named it the Trail ring and I thought the piece almost mimicked a path.. but a trail had more of a whimsical and less pre determined feel to it. I knew I had to add a trail of gemstones to it and the baguette cuts make it feel even more like a path. Almost like stepping stones. I made The Trail ring as a piece that can easily be stacked, or worn alone. Equally as a wedding ring or a contemporary alternative to an engagement ring I love this piece so much.

It’s full of texture and comfortable to wear. I really love the idea of it as a chunky wedding ring.
